EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT INFORMATION

Polk County has contracted with the Emergency Communications Network to license its CodeRED high-speed notification solution. We need your help in making sure your contact information is in the system and you can be reached in an emergency. The following link will allow you to register your phone, cell number, and email. Spring Break at Polk County Recreation Department School's out for Spring Break next week, but the Rec Department is open with a full week of activities April 14-18. The School's Out Program will be open from 7:00 am to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with special activities planned each day including an Easter Egg Hunt and a field trip to Discovery Place in Charlotte. Registration forms can be downloaded at the Recreation Department web site. The program is open to children grades K through 8.
Teen Book Club
Teen Night at the Library, April 17th The Polk County Public Library will host a special event, Tie-Dye!, following their regular Teen Book Club meeting on Thursday, April 17th. The Book Club meets at 4:00 p.m., followed by the tie-dye event at 5:00 in the library's Community Meeting Room.  The first 10 teens to register will receive a drawstring backpack to tie-dye. Teens can also bring articles from home to tie-dye. Participants can also make their own ice cream sundaes!
