Notice is hereby given that at 5:00 p.m., on Monday, June 21, 2021, in the R. Jay Foster Hall of Justice, Womack Building, 40 Courthouse Street, Columbus, NC 28722, the Polk County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the Zoning Ordinance.
Land use regulations in North Carolina have been modernized for the first time in decades. A new chapter in the General Statutes, Chapter 160D, was created by North Carolina General Assembly that updated the development regulations. Included in the document are changes; highlighted in red are regulatory, discretionary, or corrections, and gray highlighted are recommendations made by the Planning Board.
Zoning Ordinance Draft Changes
